Founded in 2016 by Charif Souki (Cheniere) and Martin Houston (BG Group), and led by Octávio Simões (Sempra LNG), Tellurian is a fully integrated company with Upstream assets located in the Haynesville Shale (Calcasieu Parish), Downstream/LNG assets located in Lake Charles, and Midstream assets connecting the two.

The Tellurian management team has collectively delivered over 79 million tonnes of LNG, representing more than 15% of LNG in production today.

Our $30 billion Driftwood LNG facility broke ground in April 2022 and is scheduled to begin exporting LNG in 2026. Once complete, Driftwood will be the largest LNG facility in the US.

Position Overview

The Director, Research and Analysis will directly support the strategic planning, research, and analysis activities of Tellurian. The primary focus of this position will be research on strategic topics and fundamental analysis, preparing summary material for Executive and Senior management with scenario analysis as appropriate. The position will assist in the development of Corporate strategic and business planning activities, and presentations. These activities are deadline-driven and may deal with confidential information. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, detail-oriented, and capable of interacting with diverse levels of management and outside constituencies.

Duties & Responsibilities

Conducts industry fundamental research and identifies key industry trends that may affect Company direction, performance, and profitability
Recommends and assists in the development of corporate strategy based on emerging trends, expansion opportunities, competitive threats, and business partner viability
Synthesizes and summarizes research to capture and communicate key insights.
Prepares and leads the management discussion on industry fundamentals.
Represents the Company at industry events communicating our position on industry trends.
Participates in the assessment of business development proposals.
Ability to lead several analysts and direct their work

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in research, fundamentals, financial analysis, or other commensurate work
Ability to maintain confidentiality of information, problem solve, communicate with all levels of management and work within time deadlines
Expert in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is required; proficiency with Tableau, Power BI, etc. is a plus
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent management and leadership skills

Travel

Some domestic and international required.
