Position Overview
The Production Superintendent is responsible for the management of all phases of production to include, but not limited to, the monitoring of daily activity reports and Scada systems, production rates, compression, chemical treatment program, and ongoing projects to ensure effective and economic production of natural gas wells.
The Production Superintendent will also manage the field lease operator staff.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Minimize monthly LOE’s and generate ideas to reduce operating costs
- Designs operator routes and preventive maintenance schedules for all assigned employees and contractors
- Maximize daily production through Scada surveillance and routine field reconnaissance
- Responsible for establishing and executing daily priorities for assigned area through the management of company employees and coordination of contractors
- Ensures all environmental and safety compliance issues are met
- Coordinates all down-hole activity through the respective Supervisor and Sr. Production Engineer
- Responsible for people development and maintenance of a team environment focused on learning and continuous improvement
Qualifications
- High School Diploma is required. Bachelors or Associates degree is preferred
- 20+ years of field operations experience with an Upstream Oil & Gas company is required
- The ideal candidate should have expertise across the following areas: production operations, well facilities, basic pipeline, and location construction knowledge
- Recent experience with producing wells in Haynesville Shale is required
- Successful track record of working with limited resources and short deadlines
- Highly self-sufficient
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (oral and written), and able to interact across all levels of the organization
Travel
Travel is required for this position and some out-of-area and overnight travel will be expected in Louisiana.
Working Conditions
The performance of this position requires exposure to field operations, including drilling rigs, well sites, hydraulic fracturing, and other field operations, which will require the use of proper personal protective equipment.
This job also operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: sit, stand, walk, lift, carry, reach, push, and pull.
