Position Overview
The Finance Analyst is responsible for providing advanced financial support and analysis to support the Upstream business objectives. This position will work closely with sub-specialties in the upstream organization, including Engineering, Land, Operations, and Geoscience, while also assuming responsibilities alongside the broader Tellurian organization, such as Corporate Finance, Legal, and Treasury. He or she will be responsible for financial analyses related to development schedules and operational decisions, forecasting and budgeting exercises, and M&A due diligence and modeling. In addition, the individual will provide presentation material to communicate analyses to peers, senior management, and the board of directors.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform quantitative and qualitative analyses, including financial modeling, market research, variance analysis, and relationship management with outside parties (bankers, data providers, etc.)
- Support strategic projects by working cross-functionally, with treasury, corporate finance, geoscience, operations, land, and engineering to generate acquisition materials and economic models
- Conduct thorough and insightful analysis on special projects
- Provide analytical support to business development and operations teams
- Monitor and provide thoughtful commentary on key business drivers, M&A&D activity, regulatory changes, and overall developments within the E&P industry
- Prepare presentation materials and communication analytical analysis for executive management
- Analysis and drafting of internal documentation and management/investor presentations
- Set up and maintain financial and other evaluation models
- Assist in the closing process and integration of upstream assets
Qualifications
- BS/BA in Finance or Accounting with a strong GPA
- Proficient in advanced financial modeling with an excellent understanding of the Microsoft Office suite of software
- Track record of successfully working with limited resources and short deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Self-starter with positive attitude, ability to multi-task, and deal with time-sensitive projects with competing deadlines and stakeholders
Travel
Some domestic travel may be required to support business activities.
