Our $30 billion Driftwood LNG facility broke ground in April 2022 and is scheduled to begin exporting LNG in 2026. Once complete, Driftwood will be the largest LNG facility in the US.

Position Overview

The Contracts Director will initiate, track and monitor contract changes, deliverables, correspondence, and risks, and maintain associated documentation. This position will be responsible for contract review and negotiation to achieve business objectives while ensuring organizational needs are met within the boundaries established by Tellurian’s policies and procedures. 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversee organizational contract development and management activities
  • Ensure that contracts and proposals are properly entered into organizational databases and securely maintained
  • Draft, evaluate, negotiate, and execute various types of contracts including lump sum (firm, fixed price), time-based, and multi-year
  • Conduct contract strategy meetings to identify issues and client requirements, facilitate pricing discussions and obtain senior management input on timelines and deliverables
  • Exercise judgment within defined procedures and policies to determine appropriate action for moderately complex issues
  • Manage through subordinate supervisors or staff, the coordination of activities for sections of contract management with responsibility for results including costs, methods, and staffing

Qualifications

  • Bachelors in engineering or applicable field required
  • 15+ years' experience in contract management
  • Experience with capital project development processes, strategic sourcing, and bid evaluation for capital projects
  • Highly proficient in MS Office products, most notably MS Excel and PowerPoint; excellent financial modeling and presentation abilities
  • Able to work independently within a small, dynamic team in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (oral and written), and able to interact across all levels of the organization

Travel

Domestic travel, primarily local, may be required to support some business activities.
