Position Overview
The primary responsibility of the Manager, Reporting and Data Analytics is to provide day to day support for the corporate group’s portfolio of applications. The Application Support team works directly with business users to provide day-to-day operational support for application software, as well as, identify new opportunities to optimize business processes through innovative IT solutions.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver integrated business systems support to users (internal and external to IT), applying an expert understanding of the business issues and the impact of technology
- Assist in design, testing, and migration of IT application functionality while complying with all internal controls and policies related to IT application support
- Support the creation and communication of IT application training programs to business users
- Stay abreast of developments with upstream applications, Microsoft Office 365 applications, and other commonly used IT applications
- Assist in maintaining SOX documentation related to various IT applications
- Assist in a variety of special projects as directed by the Director, Applications Support and Vice President, IT
- Triage reported production events including making recommendations on what action to take
- Conduct training for both new and existing procedures, processes and applications
- Work with Application Support resources to manage service requests to ensure timely completion
- Create and implement efficient workflows within and between corporate applications
- Assist in data integrity and QC processes
- Troubleshoot software issues
- Troubleshoot data navigation issues
- Facilitate knowledge transfer to other team members and the business
- Prepare business case and solution proposals outlining estimates and realistic cost-effective design alternatives
- Participate in change control and scope management efforts
- Develop test plans
- Execute and manage technical and functional testing
- Successfully identify, address, manage and escalate risks and issues within a project
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience
- Experience in SQL, data analytics, SSIS, SSRS, PowerBI, and DevOps
- Experience with one or more progressive drilling applications, well data management, pipeline monitoring and reporting, Business Intelligence reporting
- Strong analytical and system design skills
- Technical documentation and project status reporting
- Proven experience in troubleshooting technical issues quickly to diagnose and resolve issues
- Demonstrate experience developing and maintaining productive relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and technology partners
- Experienced with software development language
- Proven experience creating new and unique ways to improve operations of the organization
Travel
Some domestic and/or local travel may be required to support business activities.
