Position Overview

The Senior Process Engineer is responsible for providing technical oversight and assurance to ensure that process engineering deliverables comply with the EPC Contract and Project Design Basis.  This role will provide engineering guidance and direction for the design and construction of production facilities, gathering systems, water disposal systems, and other infrastructure projects for the Driftwood LNG asset. This role plays a key function in troubleshooting existing and new facility equipment problems, providing technical engineering evaluations, progressing standardization of equipment while continually working towards facility design improvements to enhance safety and reliability.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversee engineering/technical support for the engineering design, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning of new and existing facilities, to include commissioning and post start-up support to production operations
  • Support the Facilities Engineering staff
  • Collaborate effectively with field leadership to identify facility safety, reliability, and cost savings improvements
  • Ensure proper documentation of P&IDs, plot plans, and other required drawings
  • Manage capital project budget preparation and review, facilitate periodic equipment reviews, and engage in monthly project reviews
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with Construction, Global Supply Chain, Subsurface, Production Engineering and Operations, and service providers to ensure they are delivering on stated goals
  • Partner with external stakeholders to obtain necessary approvals to complete project plans
  • Support Management of Change (SAP MOC)
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and plans along with federal, state and local regulations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline  
  • 9+ years’ experience as a Production Engineer in oil and gas industry
  • Proven track record of providing effective technical support and leadership
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements and industry codes and standards related to the design and operation of LNG facilities
  • Experience with the evaluation of process technologies and equipment selection – pretreatment and liquefaction
  • Experience in developing LNG production models in support of operations planning
  • Broad understanding of current liquefaction technologies
  • Experience with commissioning and operating procedure development
  • Experience directly interfacing with FERC; packaging of IP’s and responding to IR’s
  • Ability to coordinate and monitor a high level of activity as demonstrated under a variety of conditions and constraints
  • Highly proficient in MS Office products, most notably MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (oral and written), and able to interact across all levels of the organization
